About Me

Introductions are weird.  I feel like I'm at an AA meeting or something, but here goes!

Basic information:
Maikou//Married//Mom of 2 (one is still baking in the oven)//Full time employee//Part time random crafter//Full time Dreamer/Wisher/Wanna-be SAHM ...hehe...it's TRUE!

Whew!

Now besides all that.  Like the randomness in my head, this blog will be about the randomness in my life?  Let's just start out with that because life is always changing and I have no idea what's next for me.  Currently, I'd like for this to be a place for me to show off things I've made and maybe sell some item's I've made (check out the Nummy Shop), but who knows.  I may just end up talking about my kid, my pregnancy, food, working out...life.  :)

Nummy // What? Why? Huh?

I got the name NUMMY from 'the kid'...my cutie pie Lydia who was then 2 yrs old. After hearing her say nummy (yummy) each time I showed her various items I made, I felt it was the best name to use for my items...after all she was my first inspiration for crafting.  :)

I decided to add "Oh so" to my Nummy when I started this blog, but it's the same difference so don't be confused!

Deeper background on my crafting:
I touched my first sewing machine my senior year in high school and ever since I always wished I could do or make more things with my minimal skills, but that was all lost until I had my first born, Lydia.  Inspired by her little face and laid off my then job, I had time to think about random projects and found myself pulling out my first sewing machine (a small, old school Kenmore sewing machine that the hubby bought me some time during our dating years way back in college....Awwww!) and buying felt, ribbons, fabric paint, fabric, etc.  Anyway, I ended up doing many, many random projects and found myself feeling incredibly accomplished with the things I had made.  Odd what can bring you a sense of success or happiness.  Shortly after I found another job (of which I love), but being back at work and having a toddler made my crafting time less and less. I also found myself needing to shed some weight so my free time was put towards working out.  You have to take care of yourself, right?  I put crafting on the back burner until I found out I was expecting baby #2 and now inspired once more...I'm back!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by and read all this! Come back and visit!

Have a Nummy day!
